As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, O.A.T.S. wouldn't be possible without the generous support of the community. Ever mindful of the financial burden of caring for the disabled, O.A.T.S. has always strived to keep program costs low, making contributions from those outside of the organization critical to our present and future operation. Here are ways you can help.
Volunteers are the foundation of O.A.T.S. Without them, O.A.T.S. wouldn't exist. Want to help us change the life of a disabled child or adult one ride at a time?
This is where you'll really experience the magic of therapeutic horseback riding. No experience necessary, we will train you! All you need is a smile. Interested? First, review the requirements in the left hand column. Then, see what day(s) work for you on our calendar and call 248.620.1775 or email us.

Can't commit to a weekly class? Not comfortable around horses? There are lots of other ways to help out. Maybe you can help us get items donated for our annual Dinner Dance & Silent Auction. Handy with tools? We always have things around the farm that need fixing. Or help coordinate one of our events, serve on our board of directors, volunteer during day camp, write a grant. You tell us!
You can make a wish come true by donating items from our Wish List.

O.A.T.S. get regular care, exercise, a new purpose in life
and lots of love from some very special people. Most of our
horses/ponies are in their mid- to late-20s. Some have
served as well into their 30s.
We've had many different breeds in our program. The most common are Quarter Horses, Appaloosas and draft crosses.
If your horse/pony is mature, gentle, sound and well-trained, please contact us about a possible donation.
Or perhaps you'd like to sponsor one of our equine partners and the important work that they do - a monetary donation of $2,500 will cover the cost of feed, farrier and veterinary care for a year.
Read this lovely tribute to two of our equine heroes who have gone on to horse heaven.
We would like to thank the following groups that continue to support our mission.
